Travis Kowalski is a Lapeer County native, and he did not come up through a moving school. That lesson stuck, because the movers Travis hired for his own relocations kept failing it. One ran an hour late with no phone call. Another no-showed entirely and left a rented truck sitting in the driveway. A third stretched a half-day job into a full one by working at half speed, watching the meter climb the whole time. He figured the bar was low enough to step over, so in 2015 he bought a truck and started Pronto on a single rule that doubles as the name. Show up early, show up ready, and move people pronto, on an honest clock that does not get padded.

We now run six trucks out of the Nepessing Street yard with around ten uniformed movers and roughly twelve people on staff once the office is counted. Dana Whitfield manages the front office and is usually the voice on the phone. Kyle Brubaker handles estimates and walks the written flat rate with you before move day. On the trucks, crew chiefs Marcus Webb, Tyler Hoffmann, and Devon Pruitt lead the jobs. Everyone who knocks on your door is a W-2 employee we hired, trained, and put in a Pronto shirt. We are not a broker and we do not auction your move off to the cheapest bidder of the week. We own the trucks, and we drive them ourselves.

Pronto holds household-goods mover authority from the Michigan Public Service Commission for in-state work and US DOT and MC authority for interstate moves. We are bonded and insured and carry up to $1,000,000 in cargo coverage per shipment. Michigan rules require a written flat-rate estimate before move day for household goods, and we treat that as the backbone of how we quote, not a form to rush through. More than a decade in, the company still runs on the plain idea Travis started with. We get there early, we get to work, and the clock you signed for is the clock you pay.
